Abstrak | "Your kid can read it, yet?" Questions that are often heard especially if our child is 5 years old. Until now, literacy continues to be a prima donna. Often the child is considered academically smart, because it can already read. Whereas we all know, in real life it takes more than academic ability. As a result, it is not uncommon for us to get stuck choosing the instantaneous way, which precisely ignores the essence of reading. Maybe children can read quickly, but do they understand the sentences they read? Starting from this anxiety, instead of using conventional methods, Vidya formulated a technique of learning to read without spelling with the Montessori method. The child does not recognize syllables without meaning, but rather phonics techniques or recognizes the sound of letters, not the names of letters. During the twelve years of accompanying early childhood, Vidya felt that this method was much more effective and less stressful. And most importantly, the child can understand the meaning of the words or sentences he reads, as well as relate them to his object or experience. Learning to read without spelling with the Montessori method and using Indonesian, will indeed be different. However, Vidya has been practicing it for years. Now, in this book, she will share her practical guide so that we and our children can enjoy the process of learning to read happily. |
